Check out the Artists:
Carolyn Ota is a NYC singer-songwriter from Hawai’i, whose warm, healing voice explores the shadow and light of Life – with joy in transformation. This music lets you find freedom to be yourself and feel feelings you may have thought you’d forgotten.

Jami Jackson, a fresh, new, singer/songwriter from North Carolina, will be performing original music from her self-released album, “Call My Name”. She sings an eclectic blend of R&B, pop, and gospel and she can be contacted at jami@jamijackson.net and www.jamijackson.net.”

Second Life comes to Real Life in ‘Third Life’, a dance based on digitized representations of human movement captured from the online world Second Life. It’s a playful look at what aspects of human behavior get reproduced in the digital world, and how those choices reveal assumptions about what is considered ‘normal’.

Seen Performance presents "on the other side of the glass plate, she wore nothing," a show about fashion and boxes, a place where inside is out and outside is in, where self perception melds with your perception. It is a place for tumbling into frames, rhythms, and patterns – and getting lost in the seams.

Masala Jam 2008! Desi artists performing original and cover songs from the Indian Subcontinent.

Bernadette Ilse presents a Display of Unique Art Assemblage: From ordinary objects to found salvage one of a kind combinations arranged to form engaging and unusual pieces of art based on a myriad of themes.

NYC Singer/songwriter Aris Ziagos prepares to release his debut LP “The Storms” in the fall of 2008 with a string of acoustic shows in New York City. Early mixes from “The Storms” have already garnered airplay in Europe and generated buzz on the internet. See http://myspace.com/arisziagos

Renowned artists Aguilar Marrero and Reina Miranda of “Taino Spirit,” show their painting of the Carribean people, “THE TAINO’S.” Their work emphasizes the beauty, pride, spirit and love of life. Their work has been exhibited at the United Nations and the Museum of Natural History.

Lydia Bell (concept/direction) and Paul Rome (music) present "if at all," an exploration of intimate space. Khalia Frazier, Owen Roberts, and Danya Sherman perform a cyclical movement pattern with household objects; a collage of actions and sounds from domestic situations past, present and future.

Permanent Parade in collaboration with Spilt Milk Productions presents: “r e d n o u l f f l o u n d e r” this piece combines choreography and puppetry to create an underwater world against the walls of the city. This swift performance can happen to any unlikely and curious audience!

Michelle Hunter, creator of Lady Michel Photography is a raw talent - specializing in capturing captivating moments through photography and transforming them into "art." She has had the privilage of being the personal photographer to World-Renowned Advisors, Political Activists and well-known companies as well as been called on by those who appreciate "memories". She has worked along side of famous photographer, John Dowell and has been featured in exhibits at various art museums, convention centers and events.

Think Bob Dylan meets David Byrne; they fall in love, and have babies named Barenaked Ladies. Shoot the Messenger has been writing and performing award-winning original songs in NYC since 2004 at venues & festivals that include CBGBs, The Black Fence, & The Black Potatoe Festival. In a few weeks, they'll play MEANYFest NYC for the third year in a row. They recently won two Honorable Mentions in The Billboard World Song Contest. Hear why at www.sonicbids.com/ShootTheMessenger.

Ze’ev Willy Neumann presents “Fifteen Minutes of Frame,” an sculptural installation that frames the view from Pier 36.
